For the DIY crowd the payback is in 5 years (This is without subsidies, just doing it yourself minus an electrician doing the termination at your electrical panel). Panels are under $0.50/watt buying 20 or more. Let me know if you need a source.

5 years? I looked in to it just a year ago and it was 10 years without subsidies. Good thing it's coming down, either way

Micro Inverters are about $100 each and 300w panels about $150. Ubiquiti has a nice calculator for their sunmax product that lets you overlay panels on google earth and calculate production. You can use it without making an account.

Really? I was seeing $100 for 100W when I looked online, but you must have some good hookup
