The US, China, and others are developing so-called "killer robots." Critics are concerned about the development of machines that can decide to take human lives. The US is among countries arguing against new laws to regulate AI-controlled killer drones.

In a speech in August, US Deputy Secretary of Defense, Kathleen Hicks, said technology like AI-controlled drone swarms would enable the US to offset China's People's Liberation Army's (PLA) numerical advantage in weapons and people.

And specifically their navy. Been saying this for a while. China's massive fleet is going to turn into an expensive coral reef in a conflict from drone swarms. It's a real force equalizer.

This mostly bodes ill for the lesser abled countries we wage wars in. US force is going to be imposed upon them and they won't be able to do anything but lose their lives attacking bots.

Plot twist it won't be a reef because Chyna isn't going to war with anyone, the world is too interdependent for trade.

We saw this coming - yet we did nothing against it...
