There is no such thing as more insecure. A piece of software is either secure or it isn't.

I have personal experience with PHPBB and I know that even the author of PHP was an uneducated fool.

That's OK, but I don't trust the people that ever created a security problem in the first place. I think software engineers need to solve problems, not introduce new ones, which is a position that almost nobody holds (because the industry mostly consists of idiots).

Programming in C in 1990 was acceptable. If you were still doing it in 2010, you were just stupid. C is a compilation target at best.
