The major reason men are not getting married is that marriage is an extremely raw deal for men. After you get married she can leave for any, or no reason. She can take the kids, house, car, bank account, and most of your future earnings for the rest of your life. She, on the other hand, has no obligation to you at all. I have watched this happen over and over again, and I could count the number of successful marriages I know of from my generation on a single hand. In fact, I can't think of any off the top of my head.
