what are you doing in a breakdown of society

the whole apocalypse idea is cope,, but just hypothetically. If there were some breakdown of civilization due to economic crisis or something, would you be a based looter, or die almost immediatly. Do you have the skills to survive? what are the conditions of the are you live? I think having alot of friends may be a serious stipulation here, for strength in numbers.

Friends restrict you as much as they can possibly multiply your power. It will probably depend on the exact circumstances whether they'll be net positive.

For me, I'd probably become a sewer rat

Is that figurative language or literal? In terms of opportunities to ascend, I was going to say this presents an opportunity but foids would probably rather starve than accept a deal of sorts.

Friends slow you down (open you to raids) and have to be fed. If resources are scarce enough and the land isn't very productive and forces you into nomandism, small groups might be advantageous
