Research the heretics. A handful of their ideas are quite convincing. A common belief in the early days was that God is higher than the creator who is a different being altogether. I don't know if that's true, but there's definitely some truth to it. Not to mention, there are two negative mentions of a "god of this world" in the Bible. Religion will always turn militantly pro-world and pro-nature to trick its adherents into serving him instead.
