What are you talking about? The stack overflow post is most likely from USA, germany has no diversity statistics for uni course for now, that is exclusively american woke nonsense for the foreseeable future at least

Most likely? Don't be a dolt. I clicked on the poster's profile and it says "based in Germany." So, we don't need to deal in likelihoods here.
And I can't speak to higher education specifically, but Germany has all sorts of mandatory preferences. German job postings typically specify sex. You'll see shit like "m/f/o" at the end of the title. Not even the USA has that bullshit.
