Michael David Crawford was about to be arrested by the police. His mother stated, "Look out he's bipolar and schizophrenic!" when made one of the officers cracked him on the head with a baton. He suffered brain damage and got the automatic breathing part of his brain damaged. He could not sleep as he had to stay conscious to breathe. Eventually, he killed himself with a chemical poison.
