That's really cool, although why is the limit 3 lbs per year? You'd come up short if you smoke an oz a week.

That's oddly phrased. It's really a max of 3 pounds of dry buds at any one time. Or, Medical marijuana users can, with a doctor's recommendation, possess as much marijuana as their condition reasonably demands for medical purposes.

Without bothering to get a medical card, it reverts to the state max of 6 plants, and "28.5 grams of cannabis plant material (about an ounce) and 8 grams of concentrated cannabis."

Notably, they've taxed the legal marijuana industry so heavily that 80% is still blackmarket.

Haven't checked lately, but before legalization, marijuana was a $14 billion industry in California.

But back then pricing was $4800 to $6K per pound. Now it's as low as $750. (during outdoor harvest) to around $2500 for top shelf buds.
