I'm glad you have this point of view to hold onto. Honestly, it sounds like you are one of my soulmates I was so desperately searching for in other men. I think a lot of girls and women go through this, and have this magical, naturally kind side to them. Most of your post sounds eerily like my life, down to me weirding people out with my inability to socialize like them. My fantasy world pulls from many of the stories I clung to when younger. Every time I tap into that world, my friends, Drizzt and his posse, are there waiting for me at a campfire, ready to hit the forest road for another adventure. I love reading that other people do this!

Being alone IS okay, but it does go against human instinct, and there are a lot of lonely ideas you have to sift through, to decide to be alone in that way forever. Thanks for your post, it is inspiring. Your inner strength is something to be proud of. Also, going through similar things, I think you might have felt a lot of pain coming to this realization. I am so sorry people weren't like you, I'm sorry your good nature left you vulnerable to their evil. You were such a lovely child! You were so special and good.
