How to be people here feel about Rand? Obviously she is a contentious figure and a lot of people have set feelings about her. IMHO, her creative writing is utter trash but her views espoused in her 1968 Playboy interview make a ton of sense. I just don’t think she figured out how to effectively distribute them to a wider audience.
It’s a fascinating comparison to me when looking at the political Sci Fi authors of the 50’s and 60’s that Hubbard of all of them is the one who ended up founding a religion.
