The solution seems so obvious. One division for cisgender women only, one open division for anyone who wants to compete.

Yeah, cis has been the opposite of trans for thousands of years. See: Cisalpine Gaul and Transalpine Gaul.

I don't see any reason men should have to compete in a protected Men's League instead of an Open League. It's not like men are terrified of women and trans people coming in and stealing all their trophies. If a woman thinks she's good enough to hang with the boys, let her try.

Most men's events are open, women just can't make the cut. Women going into contact sports is dangerous though (for themselves) and fucks up the sport. Despite the large number of FtMs, it's still mostly a novelty and rare occurrence.

Males pretty much all start out in boy's / men's sports; nothing's preventing them from staying other than if they handicap themselves with drugs. The whole sports thing is about men invading women's events. "Transitioning", in general, as far as anyone has any objections to it, is about men invading women's spaces.

That's not the language I'd use, but we're basically making the same point. We need a cisgender women's league to protect them from harm and allow them to win trophies. And the other league can be an open one that's 99% men and 1% anyone who thinks they can hang.

So those should be the two leagues.

We have those already, they're called men's and women's events.

"Cis" is an absurd and meaningless prefix as applied to humans. Humans can't change sex. Trans doctrine says people are "trans since conception" so it's not like they change into something else. They explicitly say they don't "identify" with the opposite sex. "Gender", the way they use it, is a religious concept and has no place in laws or language of a secular society. They can't even explain what a man or woman are, or even explain any differences are between "man" and "woman".

May as well have sports categories for different personalities.

Nah, I disagree. And look, I'm not a Democrat, and I'm not gonna whine about a rights struggle, but I disagree.

Sex is whether you come out of your mom with XX or XY chromosomes, and therefore a dick or a pussy. Simple.

Gender is a bunch of shit that makes no objective sense. Whether you wear skirts or pants. Whether you wear makeup or not. Whether you like Spider-Man or My Little Pony. We took sex, and we painted a thousand pounds of gender on top of it.

And some people look over and say "I don't want to do my thousand pounds. I want to do their thousand pounds."

Well, fine. That's not anti-scientific or anything. And obviously it exists.

At an international level, no problem at all.

At lower and more local levels, well, while it's true that the number of trans women in society is increasing, there still aren't enough of them in almost any high school to make up a team.
