You don't need to change terminology for some PC reasons. Why would one be offended by the current names? The words "blacklist" and "whitelist" have NOTHING to do with race. I don't think you would meet many (if any) people who would even think of races when they hear those words.

And "master" and "slave"... I mean, I'm not a fan of those terms (for non-SJW reasons, mind you), but they aren't offensive. They are just words that are being used non-offensively, and they seem to get the point across well enough.

I mean, I definitely prefer the new terms, but the motive behind the change is hypersensitivity. And these changes aren't as major as many other things, but you hear a lot about people doing stupid or useless stuff due to being offended over stuff that doesn't even affect them. This terminology was probably not even supposed to be offensive.

I don't know about you man! Whenever I am blacklisting a kernel module in Linux I can think of nothing else but Black Lives Matter. And if I have to white list the modules I can only think of Scandinavian blondes.

Don't even get me started on the fantasies of dominance that overcome me when I have to configure a Master Slave DNS Server. FUCK! Lick my boots you filthy slave!

I need to get away from Linux before it destroys my life.
