    Most artists get corrupted when they reach a certain level of success. Go along with the machine or the machine crushes you. They're whoring themselves out at that point.

    Can you imagine playing the same songs for 40 years if you're lucky? Hell yeah they have to sell out, nobody wants to hear their new stuff.

    I dunno. Some musicians get sick playing their "popular" songs after a while and would rather play the material that got less recognition. But if you don't mind, it's a pretty cushy gig.

    That's what I mean, I think nobody likes doing the exact same thing for that long but that's all people want them for. It's that or get a real job.

    That's perfectly fine with me. I don't begrudge them for doing what sells. My main qualm is them becoming political mouthpieces.

    They're already doing something pretty awful for money, I think at that point they'll do whatever.

      Agreed. But this holds true for every political ideology. They're just pushing the flavour of the weak week.
