Read somewhere Doug Ingle was high on drugs and could not say the words, don't know if true or not.

I read that story as well but I don't know if it's ever been confirmed by the band. But it does sound plausible.

It's supposed to be "In the Garden of Evil," I think that alone supports the story.

Jim Morrison was known for being drunk and forgetting lyrics too.

I wish it were true. It would make for a funnier story. But this is how it went down apparently: The title was supposed to be "In The Garden Of Eden." Drummer Ron Bushy wrote it down as "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" because he couldn't understand was vocalist Doug Ingle was singing. Their record company was OK with the title because it it sounded exotic and Eastern spirituality was big at the time, with The Beatles going to India and The Rolling Stones experimenting with Indian instruments..

Shouldn't have taken that acid tab before the session...

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. We were in Laos just before the lockdown and got mushies but no reaction. It was too long after the rainy season. I hate that feeling of waiting for it to come on but then nothing. Happy Trails.

Some of my best trips were on shrooms. The last times I did them, I didn't feel much probably because of the SSRI medication I'm taking. Bummer. But the legend goes that the singer was high and could only mumble in-a-gadda-da-vida.

Never had even a remotely bad trip on shrooms but my face always hurt the next day from smiling so much. That legend sounds like it just might be true. No SSRIs for me but just about anything else. The trouble is damn near nothing in this country. That is a good regulator.

It's de facto legal in Canada. There's a place that sells them in downtown Vancouver.

This sounds like rock and or roll.
