I'm one of those geeks who gets roped in to doing computer support for free. I make it my mission to convert people to something else, rather than volunteer my services for a company that would so rampantly mistreat me as a user.

Perhaps others are doing the same as I am, and perhaps the strategy is working. I mean we'll never get Microsoft out of the enterprise, and I don't really care about that anyway because it's not where I wound up, but with Macs, Chromebooks, Linux, Ipads and Iphones, we have a good chance at collectively driving them out of consumer space.
Screw piracy, decreasing their market share is way more fun and satisfying, and it does more damage as well, because they can't subject users to examples outlined in the above article if they aren't using Microsoft software in the first place!
