Shocked, Shocked I Say!

The Democratic Party platform for the past four years can be easily summed up in three words: hate, disrupt, distort. All four years of the Trump presidency you were giddy when people publicly called for his death. This level of hate reached all the way into the halls of our elementary schools, where my student would come home and tell me multiple instances of classmates saying they wished Trump would die. Congratulations, Democrats, for indoctrinating your young with hate.

You cannot compete in the arena of ideas and policies that bring success, so you employ “cancel culture.” You cannot recognize accomplishments like low unemployment and job creation for all Americans because you are blinded by hate. I believe you want a permanent lower class that you can manipulate through government welfare programs so you will have a voting block for life.

Second, you disrupt society by rioting, burning businesses and creating racial warfare all throughout 2020. Instead of encouraging justice to do its job after the death of George Floyd, months of unpeaceful rioting ensued while Democrats were silent on the looting. (Editor’s note: Time Magazine reported that 93% of the Black Lives Matters protests were not violent. The U.S. Crisis Monitor also tracked summer protests following Floyd’s death and released a report on its findings.) Even former President Obama tried to convince us that the riots were peaceful, yet our eyes told us otherwise. The Republican platform is respect for the rule of law, creating jobs and ensuring constitutional freedoms and opportunities for all. Just like the unlawful actions at protests in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were widely condemned, I am amazed how quiet the Democrats were when cities and businesses were burned in 2020.

Third, you distort facts right before our eyes. All the way until the end of January and days after Biden’s inauguration, stories continued to roll out that the election was completely fair with no evidence to show otherwise. (Editor’s note: Homeland Security officials and election officials issued a joint statement Nov. 12 stating the election was the “most secure in American history.” Voter turnout was high, and many state elections officials did conduct recounts in close races, as is their practice.) You slam Sen. (Josh) Hawley all the while knowing Democrats objected to election results in 2000, 2004 and 2016, and they were praised for it. (Editor’s note: This article looks at the history of congressional objections to Electoral College results, dating back to 1969. People have criticized Hawley not for his objection alone, but also for what they say is a failure to uphold the Senate’s Code of Conduct, the U.S. Constitution and his oath of office.)

I want fair elections, and the evidence of multiple states violating their own election laws is clear to me that this election was not fair. I believe Democrats set out after their defeat in 2016 to make sure they drove Trump from power using any means necessary. They used the COVID-19 crisis to do just that. I publicly thank Sen. Hawley for his courage to challenge election results. It is interesting to me how hard the media and Democrats worked to convince us that no fraud existed, which means all the more to me that it did.
