Ovarit is a website, much like Reddit, Ruqqus, and SaidIt, except it is created and run by women, most, if not all, former moderators of Reddit’s female centered subs that were banned.

As for the culture of the server? I cannot personally guarantee you’ll enjoy it because I can’t please everyone. I was asked to open one so I have, but so far I can say that it is lesbian and verified female. While inherently gender critical, not everyone is rad fem nor is it a circle jerk. Most women there are building connections through mutual interests and/or current issue discussions. We have women from all over the world and of different age groups so we have different perspectives and personalities. We have weekly activities that women are welcome to partake in. All in all, it is a pretty calm server not built on fighting or drama. It’s built on meaningful discussion and/or just chilling.

What are some examples of weekly activities that have been done or that people seem interested in doing?

Movies, shows, book club (that is monthly), some have found mutual hobbies and do things on their own, certain games ranging from D&D, Cards Against Humanity to video games.

Users are pretty comfortable pitching things and seeing if there is interest.
