"DEAR MOM: Actually, your husband IS transphobic and possibly homophobic as well. He may think that by forbidding Kennedy from participating in volleyball, he is protecting her. However, what he fails to understand is that children are already aware. Her friend certainly is."

Homophobic? Because trans are just gay + gay, yeah? I see that this is still the prevailing conflation nowadays that blinds people to seeing the skeevy reality of gender identity opportunism.

And then there's this:

As a good Christian, she should accept and love them for who they are.

Don't give her that garbage, Abby. Even THEY(presumably) don't accept themselves for who they are. That's why they identify as "Transwomen" and not men. Where is the Christian love of self there?

If this coach had been convicted of sexually assaulting 9-year-old girls, but states that he doesn't identify as a sex offender, should all good Christians be obligated to view him as not being a sex offender? In accordance with who he feels he is? Or does "who they are" mean something more than how one regards oneself in defiance of all objective fact?
