But that IS one of the goals of puberty blockers - prevent the genitals from working. Parents of 'trans' children don't know what the hell they are doing to their kids. You can't chose what side effects you have.

Maybe at least some of them do know.

When I was a teenager, I was convinced that most parents utterly loathe their children. That they envied us for being automatically considered attractive, and for having "our whole lives ahead of us". I believed that was why so many "old" women wanted to force their pregnant daughters to carry to term, AND wanted to force them to forgo college to raise the baby, instead of choosing adoption : Pure spite, because THEIR lives "sucked".

As I got older, I mellowed, and thought I had just projected onto other parents the misery I felt with my wretched egg donor and sperm donor. But now I have to wonder if my younger self was smarter : I mean, turning your teenage daughter into a trans "boy", breasts removed, maybe hair falling out, acne, God knows what else-? Literally castrating your teenage son, and apparently permanently reducing his IQ and stunting his adult height-?

I'm sorry, but while maybe the vast majority of parents of trans children are just bewildered, and are trying to do the right thing, I can't help but wonder if the worst and most narcissistic/abusive of the bunch are only too happy now.
