I will listen to this later, but Katie Herzog in general drives me nuts on this issue. She seems always out to claim how down she is with transgender natal males in women's spaces, etc., and implying that women who complain are HYSTERICAL.

Her podcast cohost, Jesse Singal, once made some off-hand and dismissive remark about "feminists who believe that biological sex is immutable" (I'm paraphrasing) as if belief that biological sex is immutable is OUTRAGEOUS and those dumbo feminists are like Christians who believe the Earth was created yesterday or something.

Jesse Singal is now being attacked online by trans activists, some of whom seem to be lying, so I do feel bad for him. However, he did throw women and parents of kids sucked into the trans fad under the bus in order to placate trans activists. He should know that you give them an inch and they take EVERYTHING.

I know. They bend over backwards to agree with the craziest trans activists on 95% (Katie) to 99% (Jesse) of everything and yet they're the public face of TERFery and left-wing transphobia. It's comical. I've been down this rabbit hole so long I no longer believe "trans" even exists. It's hard to keep from rolling my eyes at their well-meaning conciliatoriness but they do make good public faces of the argument because they're so inoffensive.

I think its okay they do this. I think coming out as full GC, makes people defensive immediately because they've been told trans people are the most marginalized & need to be protected. Once people become defensive, they stop listening.

The way Katie & Jessie work, people put their guard down a bit more . Then their ideas can start to creep in & people might start questioning more.

That's why TRAs are so adamant that they are transphobic. They're trying to stop people from evening listening to them in the first place. Because they're presenting themselves as Trans Inclusive while questioning some aspects of gender ideology, which I think a lot of people are but don't have an outlet for that sort of discourse.

I don't know - I have heard maybe three of their podcasts total and in each they sounded pretty convincing about being enthusiastically onboard w some aspects of gender ideology (they do bring up the gender topic a lot). Same w their Twitter.
