If Emma is anything like the people I've dealt with that same dead-inside psycho look, it's just another act of control and sadism. Even if Page never goes under the knife or takes hormones, even if TRAs were totally forgiving and tolerant of people that detrans, Emma has the knowledge that she's talked another human being into changing her personal life and history forever only to immediately dump her. Ruin, scar, mutilate, isolate and discard. That kind of sick shit gets these people off like nothing else.

Based on their statement they separated prior to Ellen coming out as trans. That doesn't sound to me like she was that supportive in private.

That makes sense to me. If I had a husband and he told me he wanted to become a woman, I’d file for divorce without hesitation. I know he will never ever be a woman, but it’s too much energy to go along with someone’s delusions, let alone stay married to someone like that.

It is Ellen/Elliot who is filing divorce, thought, and wanted to file a divorce since summer. And Emma planning to challenge it in court. So it is not as clear or one-sided.
