"you're gonna be a man"

No you aren't. You are still deluding yourself as much as the women you are complaining about.

In the reply to that comment someone asks her if she'd date another "trans dude" and she replied that she had a genital preference.

Didn't he get asked something along those lines a few years ago and reacted in shock and horror then accused the woman asking of homophobia.

Self-identified "political lesbian" Julie Bindel tried to convince straight women at the JKR lunch that they aren't straight
LilianH 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun 2 years ago

She came out at age 15 and has only been with women. I believe actions speak louder than words.

Also she defines "political lesbian" differently than most people do.

Julie Bindel isn't a "political lesbian" as you define it.

Ah yes the behavior of a definitely not straight man that makes women uncomfortable

Their dicks are always "monstrous" "gigantic" "extra-large" etc as well. It's just so... male.

"The Science of Being Transgender" (Thoughts on this video?)
LilianH 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

There is no science of being transgender. It's all made up.

The only study on "brain sex" that has around that number of participants was one by Daphna Joel that concluded that there is no male or female brains and that all brains were a mix of characteristics, some more common in males and some more common in females, but none exclusive to one sex.

Thought you were talking about the mermaid book for a moment.

Does Kim Petras "pass"? And why are TIMs and TIFs everywhere?
LilianH 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

Not in the interview video, but the singing videos yes, likely because they are filtered significantly.

This person likely transitioned prior to puberty so it's less obvious they are male, but the signs are there if you know what to look for. Pre-puberty trans males look like adolescent boys scaled up not like adult women. See Nicole Maines for another example.

How to respond to "penis is a big clitoris, and clitoris is a small penis"?
LilianH 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

Males and females develop the same until about 7 weeks at which point they will either develop as male if a SRY gene is present (Y chromosome) otherwise they will develop as female. We don't have a physical sex up until this point (just a chromosomal sex). Testosterone doesn't turn someone male, it's the other way around. Being male will cause the development of cells that produce testosterone. The clitoris and the penis have the same precursor, but a clitoris does not turn into a penis or vice versa and we don't all start out with female genitals, we all start out with no genitals and then develop male or female genitals based on the instructions in our genes.

This is why we should just call them "he". They even take your pandering as an insult.

Yes, misgendering is a bannable offence. That's why Meghan Murphy was banned, she replied "yes that's him" to a photo of mr-wax-my-balls and was banned.

Concerns we're heading for a misgendering crisis as 61% of Brits never ask about pronouns™

I think they are confusing two different rules. As far as I'm aware the 5 nmo/L level is all events run by World Athletes. It was introduced in 2019 to bring the rules for trans athletes into line with the rule for intersex athletes they bought in for Caster Semenya which I believe is for that specific event range.

Progress = Everyone is Pansexual? Thanks, BBC.

I've read her book. The only women who were "sexualy fluid" were those who at the start of the study were bisexual (however they identified themselves). Lesbians (there were only 3 in her study) were still lesbian at the end of the study, and straight women were still straight at the end of the study. Those who started attracted to both men and women (i.e. bisexual) moved about a bit depending on their relationships and changed how they identified their sexuality, but remained bisexual at the end of the study.

Same-sex couples looking to adopt just hit a roadblock from SCOTUS but sure a man can be a lesbian... 🙄

They appear to have ruled that way because the contract the city was using allowed for exemptions from its non-discrimination rule but the city refused to give an exemption to this catholic service, thus treating them differently that other service providers on the basis on their religious beliefs. A clear case of discrimination hence the 9:0 verdict.

Reddit promotes blatant transphobia subs in latest SF billboard

I don't see an "actuallesbians" there. Does that mean Reddit agrees that sub is mainly straight men now?

Bisexual. She is bisexual

That's the person who lectured Miley Cyrus in an article about how her preferences were transphobic.

NPR on a roll today—a compound of far-left trans extremists who are rude to their neighbors is suddenly a “queer” issue that’s about anti-lgbt sentiments.

r/atg - If you are mad at trans people for not disclosing before a date you are a bigot and the same as a nazi
LilianH 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

Are we allowed to disclose that though? I recall stories of women being kicked off dating apps for stating they weren't interested in trans people.

What issues does using she/her pronouns for a man that passes as a woman, or he/him pronouns for a woman that passes as a man lead to?
LilianH 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun 2 years ago

He doesn't pass for a woman. You might be confused by him being mixed race, but something about him looks... off I guess you could say. Like something is wrong with his face. And that's with makeup and in posed/filtered pictures. I imagine in real life it would be even more noticeable.

Anyway, this article goes into some of the problems using she/her for males can cause. https://fairplayforwomen.com/pronouns/

I lost any sympathy I had for Buck Angel after Buck retweeted a comment from a trans man complaining that an optional surgery had been delayed because doctors had to do actual life-saving surgery on cancer patients.

So, today is pansexuality's international day...
