...Wouldn't it be better to focus on the here and now, rather than propaganda and ideologies? I know that if I ever told someone in real life what my sexuality was, I sure hope their first action wouldn't be to dig up some old activism and shove propaganda in my face. Emotional support and being there as a friend comes first, and I personally don't give a shit about what LGB activists did in the past, especially in a country I never belonged to, and long before I was born.

My issues are in the present. What happened at Stonewall or wherever else decades ago is completely irrelevant.

I’ve been giving him emotional support. But he’s interested in the history as well. I do believe that it’s important that we know what happened and how we got to where we are now. What’s happening today is important, but at the end of the day, would we be here today if it wasn’t for the past?

Additionally: if you want an LGB-focused perspective, where are you even gonna FIND it anymore, except in the past? When there actually was an LGB? Pre-Transpocalypse?

Plus, could be a source of inspiration to remind ourselves that it wasn't always like this. And, therefore, doesn't have to stay this way.
