I'm fine, thanks for asking. India seems to be a nice place, I'm from Brazil and I always wanted to visit Goa, they say there are still people who speak portuguese there. And you, how do you do?

From Wikipedia:
Konkani is spoken as a native language by about 66.11% of the people in the state, but almost all Goans can speak and understand Konkani. Other linguistic groups in the state per the 2011 census are speakers of Marathi (10.89%), Hindi (10.29%), Kannada (4.66%), Urdu (2.83%) and Portuguese language (1 %).
I assume that's only primary languages, so the percent of people who can speak Portuguese is pro'ly higher, but I bet it ain't a majority.

It's okay, even if it is only 1% it would be already more people than the population of the majority of Portuguese cities.

You might think so but this is Goa we are talking about; very small state (rank 28 of 36 states and union territories) with a population of 1.4 mil. So 1% is 14000 if i didnt fail 3rd grade math.

I know this is very surprising, but the majority of cities in Portugal have less than 15.000 people. And as ameliamay said, this 1% probably does not count people who speak portuguese as a second language. So yeah, visiting goa I will probably see more portuguese speakers than visiting any rural city in portugal. It is not serious tough, just a fun fact.

Holy shit! I thought, when you said 'cities' they'd have like 1,00,000 people. I wonder how peaceful it would be living in such small population density.

Yeah, you could probably find a lot of people to talk to in Portuguese.

Hey,
Goa is a state, it have lot of beaches. You'll enjoy your stay if you like water activities. Brazil is a beautiful country. It's famous for Christ the Redeemer Statue..

I live near Rio de Janeiro, the city with the big Christ statue. It is an impressive wonder but there are many other cooler spots in the city. There is a cathedral whose insides are all covered in gold, and there is also a giant tropical forest in the middle of the city, so big that you can actually get lost inside. But anyway, there was a really famous Indian guy here in Brazil, his name was Sai Baba, I once met a guy who actually ate his ashes and went to India solely to meet him.

Sai Baba is treated like a god here in India. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sai_Baba_of_Shirdi
He died on 15 October 1918.
