Some of his reasoning is controversial, I would prefer no female friends over friendzone if it's guaranteed that I'll never ascend, but he has some good arguments too. It lets you understand women and let you get close to them. Especially important for youngcels who might be fakecel but not realize it.
Another point which wasn't in the video, I remember seeing studies that if guys score a gf that is around 3 points higher than her, it almost always happens if they knew each other for at least a year. It's well established that people you see often become more attractive to you. So going via the friendship route might actually be necessary for low value guys to score a gf. Cold approaching absolutely never works for them

True. Most incels communities are populated with at least 30% fakecels/ mentalcels so it's nice to reach them. Best case they ascend and leave
