The ideal response in this instance would be "I dunno are you a dumb bitch?" or some variation on that

This would have been a good time to fearmaxx like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas. In this instance you should have asked "Is something funny?" to which she will likely respond "no" after which you keep asking why she's laughing if nothing is funny to the point that it makes her extremely uncomfortable.

no just report her to h.r and claim to be gay or even better come to work the next day in a dress with a lawyer and say it was transphobic gotta lean into the crazy in clownworld!
