How is saying words on the internet or even saying those words in real life even remotely as bad as someone committing an actual crime? Jail should be for people who rape children or murder others, not for people that say words.

One example of many: The "rap-genius" founder got fired for saying that ER was a good writer (which is true, but that's beside the point.) He didn’t even praise him, and still got in trouble jfl. But even if he praised him, i don’t think he should have gotten in trouble. Why is it a crime to say certain things if they aren’t hurting anyone?
