Ever been approached by mormons?
submitted 4 years ago by tundra from self.Incels
Once I encountered these 2 qt blondes on my street. I hadn't seen a girl my age in ages so I got excited but it was killed when I saw their name tags. I talked to them for a little bit and they invited me to church and I was so lonely I accepted even though I'm completely atheist. Met them like 2 more times and they tried to teach me about Jesus but after determining that I wasn't going to convert they broke it off.

Every mormon i have met has been friendly, for obv reasons. But I reckon if I'd been brought up mormon there's a 25% less chance I'd be incel.

I've been approached by some other denomination of Christian cultists. I had no interest, took their flyers and went back to what I was doing outside.
That said, I've thought about religion-cope. My main issues are that I don't really have a reason to believe in any deities, as I haven't seen many miracles etc. in my life. I don't seem to have that spark of suspension of disbelief required for faith, maybe.
There's a veneer of a social support group or network that exists through participating in Church or other religious group activities, however human social dynamics would all still come into play. You might be less lonely, but you'd still be an incel. You'd still just be hoping to betamax with some born-again, etc. Islam seems increasingly appealing.
