It's three by my count, but if you're considering all the smaller subs that were closed, who even knows.

It makes me suspect that it's a managed source of content, kept around on the site so that IT users and the like don't have to leave the platform in order to get their seethe on. Every so often when things get in the news, shut it down and let things blow over- the Joker movie nonsense in this case. But then everything pops back up, only to have the same shit happen again.

I don't think it'll ever be enough. Name brand recognition is hard won, and it'll be hard to get people to know about, nevermind want an alternative.

IMO the only reason you'd want to stay on Reddit is that you want to poke fun at people who you ought to not give a shit about, because you're still on their website. SaidIt doesn't seem to have their crowd, so for people that are just looking to clash rather than commiserate, maybe Reddit is the only place for that.
