Why Mary? She is fully human. Much theological and philosophical debates have occurred around the nature of God, of Jesus, of all aspects of divinity and morality and all sorts of topics. These topics lead to divisions, and schisms. We side step that and start with Mary, who was fully human just like us.
Rules are in the sticky post. Start there. This sub is not a free for all. I will remove what ever I think is over the line that I draw when I need to draw a line. Don't be a jerk. Respect: each other, Mary, and any & all religions or non-religions (here, anyway). State your peace peaceably and not overly repetitively. Breaking that standard of conduct, regardless of adherence to the pyramid of debate will not be tolerated. I think that is in accordance with rule 4b. Such nonsense may result in a ban.
Though a restricted (or maybe private) sub, I hope this to be a welcoming place for all who want to understand why people turn to Mary. All faiths and non-faiths are welcome but respect for each other and for Mary and her Son must be maintained. Because of that, tone policing must be active because there is such a thing as The Sacred, even Sacred topics, and this is one such topic.
If you somehow got in here and do not agree this is a Sacred topic worthy of all respect and the highest standard of behavior towards each other and the topics, you can go elsewhere with no judgement from me.
As per 4b) I CAN remove opposing opinions that are high on the pyramid of debate, and ban those users on this sub, as I am meeting the 2 following conditions: 1: The fact I'll remove opposing opinions is now announced in this sidebar. 2: I unchecked the sub setting "allow this sub to appear on /all"
