I read it until I saw their methods included using models. You don't have to use models on your cherrypicked counties, unless you want to be able to manipulate your results by manipulating the models (garbage in/garbage out). Happily, they cite quite a few studies on the topic, one of which looked at the decade before and after loosening gun laws.
One of those is this: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/282442721_Concealed_Handgun_Licensing_and_Crime_in_Four_States
with this gem that made me stop reading as soon as my biases got confirmed LOL
changes in crime rates exhibit a number of patterns. Rape and burglary showed decreases across all four of our study states. Robbery, aggravated assault, and larceny increased in Michigan and Pennsylvania, with Texas and Florida showing mixed results for the rates of changes in these crimes. Murder decreased in Michigan and Texas
r/2aliberals is having none of it LOL https://www.reddit.com/r/2ALiberals/comments/15o9c1y/study_confirms_link_between_concealed_carry/
If you want to shoot .22LR, just buy a cheap 22 long rifle. No point spending big bucks on something like this IMO.
There are sub $400 .22LR ARs on the market. $700 is too fucking high.
They don't know about the old storm shelter in the back woods. I didn't know about it for 6 years.
Wrong. Door to door searches to confiscate weapons have happened, and can happen where you live, while you are out at work.
I have all the guns and ammo I could ever use. They can't take what they don't know about.
not once the digital money becomes mandatory, citizen
I use cash.
many such cases
small arms are not the national security risk in question though so
Didn’t read it
Black powder is not used in modern small arms.
literally says in the article
I had no idea the military used black powder.
Black power, sure... the Yankees are 100% in bed with them.
Saltpeter, charcoal, and sulfur if I remember correctly
Actually I often think of that, imagine a 22Mag machinegun, with some type of hopper-magazine system , would be pretty easy to design, and it could lay fire for a very long time, it would be great at making the enemy take cover, easy to suppress the sound, and super light, even 22lr would work for this, It would be crap at shooting buildings, but even 7.62 becomes useless against a masonery wall that is more than 5" tick, its not gonna go through! at this point might as well shoot 5 times longer at it , amd make the enemy cower for longer, giving you time to advance, ALSO , it would have so little recoil you would be able to shoot a laser beam of tracers
apples are better than oranges
I'm actually partial to .22 Magnum. I guess the rimfire aspect of it limits military usefulness.
I am now engaged to a chimpanzee we met at the zoo and as long as I bring her bananas she has no problem making out with me I did find out that she doesn't react very well to me putting my finger in her butthole but I think that given time and if I move slowly I think that I'll be able to do that with not too much of a problem she did bite off one of my ears but I'm okay with that
The corncobs and Sears catalogs are available to everyone.
Wtf op. Figure yourself out m8
Ouch.
I had that gun in a .380 and didn't like it and it didn't even shoot me.
That is a nice map, thanks, I'll save that for for a reference
It proves that jews won the war, not their intellectual superiority. They are good at deception which is why free speech is important. Truth always beats deception.
It is cyclical, in the near future the jews will experience yet another expulsion and be removed from the power they've gained through deception and nepotism.
Is that before, or after, the jackboot is on your neck?
well... I just think it's not time to do it yet, but I may do this in future.
so you're crying about a process you refuse to try to fix
this just proves that jews are intelectually superior, they are smart enough to enter politics, while antisemitists can only hate and (in past) kill them, but are still stupid. Jews just appreciate wisdom instead of blindly following masses.
I didn't ever.
Saidit started because the jewish owned reddit started censoring right wingers everywhere (especially fascists).
If you look to history, the communists in russia were mostly driven by jews like lenin and trotsky. The fascists opposed these communist jews.
Antifa was a JEWISH and communist creation.
Those in power today are jews, not fascists. That's why jews run facebook, instagram, youtube, google, reddit, etc. while fascists are left to fringe corners of the internet like s/debatealtright on saidit, a deplatformed website. Until recently, the admins of even this site had banned the fascist subreddit from s/all
Bidens cabinet consists of countless of jews, nonjews with jewish spouses or nonjews with jewish grandchildren (like biden himself). It's one big club and we are not in it.
Fascism has nothing to do with it.
During the cold war, all the jewish bolsheviks went from Russia to the US, and that's how we are in this mess today. You can check the population of jews in the US and in Russia during the last century to see this happen.
when is the last time you ran for office in poland
Maybe. What reddit has to do with this?
how can you be on saidit and believe this stupidity
you know reddit is owned by a jew right?
It's funny when people call everything bad communism, not even knowing what communism is. Sadly Poland is USA satellite country and we have exactly the same situation here. I wish your culture stick away from our... Poland could be better if we would't have elites that suck US government dick so hard and more creative content creators not just bunch of american trends followers. This is certainly bad aspect of globalisation. USA is idiocracy, there's no point in copying it.
actually if you exchange fascism and communism your statement is true
The communists want you to call everything they do "fascist" because fascists oppose them, and so, if fascists were to gain power, people wouldn't like it because people don't like what they think is "fascism", which is really communism.
If you've ever heard "the left always projects", then this applies here too.
Its confusing because the definitions keep changing to match whatever group is wrongthinking atm
everyone who disagrees with me is a stupid j00
LMAO
8 states don't, so the majority do on some level. And if you buy a gun through a dealer, you have to go through the federal background check. That's still pretty stringent.
You can come to debatealtright and ask the fascists any questions you would like.
You seem to be confused about what fascism is
everyone who disagrees on the meanign of words I dont understand is a jew
what, no more jooposting?
I can only speak for the US but you don't have to register to buy a gun in every state. That's not a thing.
I can only speak for the US, but you have to register to buy a gun in every state. If you're talking about some loophole, then that's illegal.
you have to register
Not everywhere has a gun registration scheme
This has always bugged me about the gun control movement. Caveat, I'm pro-gun, though not rabidly so. I have no issue with background checks and sensible legislation to stop criminal use of firearms, but I believe in the Constitutional right to bear arms. The problem as I see it is that most legislation is just knee-jerk reaction by liberal/lefty politicians to show they are doing something, anything, in the face of tragedy (e.g. school/mass shootings). Meanwhile never addressing the real problem; illegal guns and gun users. Most of the gun deaths come from prohibited people using illegal firearms. What gun law is going to stop that?
I get the idea here to address mentally ill people stockpiling weapons as a red flag for some sort of mass shooting, but that's a drop in the bucket when you compare it to the deaths by gang shootings. And so what if banks do flag the purchase? You have to register the gun anyway? What's the point in both? I mean, banks already monitor how you move your money. As little as $5K can raise a red flag, and have nothing to do with gun purchases.

communism, not fascism
Interesting, I had never heard about the round, but apparently it uses greater speed and a spike to penetrate armor within legal restrictions. https://www.ammoland.com/2020/10/dangy-dagger-9mm-round-defeats-level-3a-body-armor/
Somehow this makes me want to go to the US Canada border and throw guns and ammo across it.
I live in a red state, have a HCP, and carry daily without a second thought.
Agreed, but NJ is stupid anyway
Retired law enforcement should not have more rights than the rest of us. I am not a second-class citizen, gun rights for all
Lefties want to blame everything but the root cause: themselves. Then they blow a fucking gasket when we bus them the illegal aliens they want to let in.
RTWT it's a good statement and good for them making it.
It's a little ironic IMO that they HAVE licenses and then he makes a deal in the letter about having a right to bear arms, but maybe "shall not be infringed" means something different in the great frozen northlands
Criminals break the law. Just because California is all butt hurt over guns doesn't mean their criminals are just going to go along.
It's much easier to make a 12 gauge shotgun out of plumbing pipe. Besides there are dozens "how to's" out there to help. No fancy 3D printer required.
Yeah like when it explodes in your hand.
Also remember: Any gun control measure that doesn't include government guns is a civilian disarmament bill at absolute best.
house.gov has a way to find your own rep
The bill in question: https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1808/text
not much politics at all
Yeah, the 2A purists piss me off sometimes. I'm pretty far to the political right, but I don't need to read a biweekly update on how circumventing the NFA helps wounded veterans or whatever. Somehow I don't think people who got their arms blown off in Iraq are itching to go to the gun range.
Take notes, other states!
What angered me is some old hags mouthing off "he broke the law" and quite no he did not. If and when I see a "gun free zone" sign I simply ignore it.
He wasn't breaking the law. The only thing the management could have done is ask him to leave and called the police if he refused. Like you said, if you conceal carry, it's not a problem because no one knows.
As I travel the USA quite often those type of sign mean nothing. I carry 100% wherever I go with exception of legal no-gun zones where one has to pass through a metal detector port. Otherwise my .45 snug in a very excellent shoulder harness hanging under left arm. Nice cowboy vest and upon close inspection no one knows.
::shrug::
You love to see such awareness and someone so ready to rock with drop dead accuracy. Especially in a situation like this, where an obvious criminal gets plugged. He didn't do this over a seat belt.
Ice in his veins. Fuck yeah.
Looks like center of mass. I hope he never got up.
Please. I want to see Biden cry salty tears.
So many brand new lefty paradoxes to savor.
LOTs of reversals mentioned in the article. May God bless this court for the good rulings the past couple weeks.
Time to go talk to your sheriff eh
This is going to piss off all the right lefties.
I'm very glad they struck this down. We have a similar law in California too, and the way it works is you have to submit an application to the Sheriff's department to review your 'proper cause', and it turns out this basically involves making a sizable monetary donation if you actually want to get it approved
The plain language of this is horrific.
“The term ‘manufacturing firearms’ shall include assembling a functional firearm"
If you take it apart and put it together, you are manufacturing firearms.
If you make a chunk of metal or plastic that the BATFE says you were going to make into a receiver later, congratulations, you're making ghost guns.
“The term ‘frame or receiver’ ... means a part of a weapon that ...is intended to provide the housing or structure to hold or integrate 1 or more fire control components... includes a... blank, casting, or machined body, that requires modification, including machining, drilling, filing or molding, to be used as part of a functional firearm, and which is designed and intended to be used in the assembly of a functional firearm...
Primary that SOB.
My feelings on it are mixed. Yes, it is a human right to be armed, but getting a weapons license in Georgia is not onerous at all. No one empowered to carry by this law would have been unable to get a weapons license.
I'm not for the restrictions either, just couldn't resist messing with you a little
OK, so you won that part already. Now shut the fuck up.
only a record without felonies and violence.
Almost like some sort of background check
None of that is required to get a carry permit where I live, only a record without felonies and violence.
There is no requirement to have a carry permit to own a gun.
Sounds like the requirements for a handgun carry permit. Nothing to see here.
Because they don't come with an owner's manual I guess.
I have a real Handgun Carry Permit that is recognized by Georgia. If this stupid law didn't exist I could still legally carry in Georgia.
Sure, if you go visit, you can carry
Good, I hope more states will continue to pass these bills. Shouldn't need permission to defend yourself.
Oh, just fucking great. All the idiots can carry now.
12 gauge pump and a 22 rifle.
GLOW MORE BITCH MY EYES CAN STILL SEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is a easy question, the AK is populer all over the world. AR15 is okay for the rifle range but in combat you will suffer.
Which ever one you have the most ammo and parts to keep running.
Looks nice but I would rather have the plain version.
Don't watch many videos of that length but that was really interesting.
That sounds too ridiculous
The FGC stands for "Fuck Gun Control."

Registration has preceded confiscation. Most recently Canada. Let them pay in blood to disarm the citizenry.
