He went to the western most part where there was never going to be any sign of war and found a few journalists and their crews.

He found very many. But he also didn't find masses of refugees going into Poland. He found very low traffic. He also went to Kiev, which isn't exactly bordering Poland, where life is going on as usual, except for the cops preventing people from filming the streets. But that's not unusual, right?
