Wikipedia deleted its list of transgender serial killers, the internal criticisms being that a lot of them weren't technically trans. Inconvenient = not trans. Now Wiki hosts a page listing transgender homicide victims, which, you guessed it, includes gay men & GNC women. Convenient = trans.

Wikipedia deleted their page listing transgender serial killers back in September. The discussion about the deletion included this comment:

restrict this category to people who identified as transgender at the time of the crimes.

So instead of re-labelling the list to: 'crossdressers', they delete it, because despite them saying that crossdressers aren't the same as trans-wimxyn their cognitive dissonance is telling them otherwise.

Now when you search for transgender serial killers you are greeted with the Wiki page 'List of people killed for being transgender'

which, you guessed it, includes a bunch of entries of people who a) weren't killed for being trans, &/or c) weren't even trans

Examples from the wiki page:

• Xtravaganza describes a time she narrowly escaped an attack by a man who discovered she was transgender during an intimate encounter, and it is possible her murder occurred during a similar situation. Her killer was never found.

• In 2014, Douglas Gutridge was charged with murder on the basis of DNA evidence; he pleaded not guilty, and died in 2016 before the case came to trial

These are the first two entries, neither of which have evidence either murder was committed because the victim was trans.

• Simmie Lewis Williams Jr., a 17 year old black gay man, was fatally shot on 22 February 2008 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. USA. He was wearing women's clothing at the time of his death.

Apparently trans-womxyn are gay men in dressed in women's clothing now.

The trans-men on the list are the most suspicious, as in there doesn't appear to be evidence that they were trans or that their murders had anything to do with them being trans.

One of them, 'Teena Brandon' had a movie made about her in 1999. If you look at her Wiki page it describes her as a trans-man & uses male pronouns throughout. I did a Google search for reviews of the movie, but limited my search to results between 1999 & 2005. The movie reviews I found all described her as a girl & used female pronouns throughout:

Cross dressing is so common among serial killers in some countries it's taught to criminal psychologist that it's one of the factors to look for in potential suspect's.

It's around 25% of serial killers compared to 2-3% of men.

Nominator's rationale: There are only two entries, which could be handled by simply ==See also== linking them, and the category also seems unusual as there is not e.g. a Category:African-American serial killers or Category:Hindu serial killers: it seems serial killers are otherwise only categorized by nationality and by whether they are male or female, which both entries in this category already are.

This all sounds...perfectly reasonable? I don't think this is an instance of "crazy wikipedia wokeness" as you are making it out to be.

If none of them were trans, then what were they? Cross-dressers? Then remove the 2 trans-womxyn, keep the page & re-name it accordingly – that would have been perfectly reasonable.
