In this country (not the US as Jason knows) it is important to preserve the wa or peace so I make a concession for the gym because it is close, not expensive, and not crowded and I'd like to continue going there. As soon as I'm outside the gym, the mask comes off but then I'm just some anonymous foreign person who maybe didn't read the memo.
