The European Commission said the ruling raised serious concerns about the primacy of EU law, setting it on a full collision course with Poland's nationalist rulers after years of legal and political wrangling.

Fun fact: There was never any treaty on 'primacy of EU law'. No vote, no referendum, nothing. It was not a thing when we - Czechia and Slovakia, and I believe all of current members but maybe Croatia's group - joined the union.

It's just something EU Court decided on in 2000's.
