I kept seeing reports like this so I looked into why it's happened.
It's not mainly due to GM crops, which most people don't eat, or pesticides as organic food is also affected.
The main cause is that we don't put as much shit on the fields as we used to.
We are basically avoiding a handful of death from listeria etc every year and replacing them with thousands more from obesity because people have to overeat to get basic nutrition.
