Frankly it's far easier to get out of the habit of eating bread than keep trying to find weird bread recipes which never match up to the real thing.

If you really feel you need to eat a piece of bread then eat it and get back on the wagon tomorrow. Bread contains some types of vitamin B which are hard to access elsewhere so cravings might actually be for that rather than carbs.
