I completely understand Heineken selling the land, as apple cider sales are down.
But gratuitously tearing down the trees for absolutely zero good reason is just spite and vandalism.

Yes.
Seeking a profit is, of course, understandable, when it aims at people making a decent living within a civilised society.
But unchecked greed-driven mentalities, which can only think in terms of financial profit, lead us on a dangerous path.
This is but a mild example of the apparent stupidity/folly/sociopathy.
