I can get behind that as well.

The proposal to install stocks in a gallery and provide soup to throw at activists, ostensibly for the sake of historical education, is both misguided and potentially dangerous. It trivializes the suffering of those who have been subjected to this form of public humiliation and violence, and it creates an environment that is conducive to further abuse. The stocks were a common form of punishment in colonial America and Europe. People who were accused of crimes, often minor ones, were placed in the stocks, where they were subjected to public ridicule and abuse. They were often pelted with rotten fruit, vegetables, and other objects. This practice was not only cruel and degrading, but it also served to dehumanize the victims. The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of great social and political upheaval. The monarchy was overthrown, and a republic was established. During the Reign of Terror, which lasted from 1793 to 1794, thousands of people were executed, including King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Many of these executions were carried out by guillotine, a device that quickly and efficiently decapitated its victims. The suggestion that we recall the French Revolution by attending beheadings of the 1% is not only insensitive, but it also ignores the fact that the Reign of Terror was a period of great violence and bloodshed. Thousands of innocent people were killed, and the country was left in a state of chaos. Both of these proposals are based on a misunderstanding of history. They glorify violence and dehumanize those who have been subjected to it. They have no place in a civilized society.

Haha, I know, right? That is hilarious! I can't believe he actually did that. It's so crazy, but also kind of awesome in a weird way. I'm not sure I would have the guts to do something like that, but I'm glad he did. It made my day!
