I dono, maybe. I wasn't around then. If so it was controlled by a different group of scammers. They operated on the premise that the Bible is the word of God. It was an ancient text with billions of copies and couldn't be changed to push every new program the rulers wanted to push. There was consistency there.

These new guys are dismantling the Bible to implement the new control system of "scientific authoritarianism". You are told what is "science" by the (((news))). They can literally change the science from one week to the next depending how they want to manipulate people that week. They say the science has changed and the sheep don't blink an eye. Total control without the trouble of dealing with last week's propaganda.

Trust the science is essentially just a personality cult. It's an appeal to authority only. Though this is the issue that most will have when it comes to science based arguments. Anything outside your own field of expertise is usually difficult to analyze so many rely on media interpretations that can range from fair and thoughtful summarizations of primary sources, or simple yellow journalism and clickbait.

Science itself is not infallible and trusting in science is an oxymoron in and of itself. Healthy skepticism is the means which scientific theories are vetted. They don't have much value if they cannot stand up to criticism.
