Fuck man, Pakistan is on the map of countries that let people declare to be of a third-gender on their passport. Not even islamic fundamentalism can stop this retardation. We are doomed. xD

There are some edge case arguments for allowing it in cases of legitimate intersex conditions that pose certain problems for people. Though I'm not sure the logic of providing a third gender "option" rather than having a legal process in place to allow a change in such cases.

Of course allowing self determination of these cases is pretty silly. It should take a court order, and be more along the lines of "the hospital messed up and wrote the wrong thing" or "I'm a hermaphrodite and after puberty look more like the opposite of what's on my birth certificate and want a redress" than the "I feel like a crazy person" bullshit we have now.

Not really - intersex is a misnomer. Almost all disorders of sexual development happen either to male or female people. That's the irony is XXY and XYY are decidedly male diseases. XO is a female-only genetic birth defect. They are not third sexes; there are only birth disorders. For a third sex to exist, a third gamete would have to. Just as we're a bipedal species - despite cases of people with fewer or more legs, we do not have a continuum of leggedness.

Switzerland still allows people to change their sex based solely on self-determination. And notice how the right wing organisations never bothered to put the issue to a referendum? Proof how deep down the woke rabbit hole Switzerland is. While it is good that societies have limits, I am still not confident about Swiss society becoming wiser.
