I'm close to ready, the docker stuff is going well finally.
Thanks
No, there are others too: poal, talk.lol etc
Poal is not free speech. If you don't conform, they kill your karma and you can never start a sub.
talk.lol is pathetic, no search.
AOU is king of the site, and the main rule is do not disagree with or offend him in any way.
Having extensive experience with the reddit code base, I can say confidently that it's faux open source and was never intended for others to use. Token open source. Spez never gave two shits about Swartz. I think Ohanion/Mrs. Williams did a bit though.
I dunno what fake open source means, I thought it's one or the other. Are uoi saying it has hidden code or something?
yep, that's part of it, they omitted all admin tools. and left it very behind reddit.com. and left it broken out of the box.
Maybe you just don't understand how it works. They have a basic code underlying the main code, that you can use as a forum in all regards without moderation. He even has notes about doing it in the code. So the prbmlem you have is bc it needs a moderator code? Why mod at all? Let the shit fly imo.
Why mod at all? Let the shit fly imo.
Ludicrous. You do it.
Why? Thats what reddit as an why it succeeded, along with twitter and facebook, and myspace before that.
Reddit was born on r/conspiricay it was the top on mainpage for years, with people saying how the compnay fucked them.
Reddit is still all conspiracy users, and fakes all other innoculations to look lieke twittr. lmao. Fact is, they dont cban consiracy bc thats the main user base.
Axylotle was re assighned a username bc he was controversial, he still runs r/conpiacy. Its a data ffarming website now though.
all true
did not know that
I'm not in love with Saidit, but I like it because:
My expectations was forum like, 100's of clones. like 4 chan but much bigger, since it's so easy to do, (aarons words) I personally don't know how. You switch between 1000's of self hosted servers.

Right now SaidIt has the most free speech. I am hoping to use SaidIt code to make another site with true free speech, see /s/FreedIt.
