I don't know any Catholics who take the Vatican seriously anymore.

wouldn't they stop being catholics then

be protestant or evangelical or something, call it whatever you want but not catholic

Once you're baptized you're a Catholic for life, even if lapsed, unless they excommunicate you.

I personally like that more than the LDS system which is very proactive about participating and tithing. They have interviews with their bishop regularly. Reminds me a bit of scientology. And "ExMos" are supposed to be shunned I believe.

yeah i mean yeah they stay in catholicism cuz they don't want to get shunned, make family mad etc

Catholics aren't as picky these days after it came out the church was covering for child molester priests.
