So earlier last year, I went to a Chinese PhD student's home to see if I could rent a room there. He was in his late 20s/early 30s. His PhD was in mecha engineering, and I could see he was doing quite well for himself since he got himself a posh car and a rather spacious house already. However his behavior was just, eh, idk. When I went in, he was living with another female student from China whom he referred to as his "sis from school" (师妹). But then, in a hasty bid to prove his chastity, he hurried to tell me that she is just strictly his sis from school and that she was just sojourning there for a little bit before she flew back to China. That is something that I did not need to know whatsoever as just a potential tenant. Then he hurried to tell me he and she sleep in separate bedrooms and are segregated (again, something that I didn't need to know). Keep in mind I did not mention anything or ask him anything that would lead to him explaining all that to me. In fact, I didn't say anything at all. He hurried to tell me all this on his own volition.

Now he was a good guy and all that. I am a tall guy myself, and he was even taller than me. But he was just way too virginal. Like I could have understood that if he was in his early 20s, but this chigga was in his late 20s/early 30s. He reflected a quite serious issue as so many Chinese are on the polar opposite end of hypersexualization and those Brainiacs seem to have so little social intelligence.
