How about hosting your own WordPress blog? It can be done for $5/month, maybe less. Or you could build a static blog site on GitHub pages for free.

I have free WordPress blog accounts, and I still worry WordPress could censorship about them.

You can also run the WordPress software yourself on your own server, so that only your web host can take it down.

I know, but if I don't join a fediverse, like mastodon union, hard to find people to read my stuff.

I wondered why there are decentralized dtube but no decentralized blogging.
I guess everyone has been focused on social media.. but a blog service isn't too far off. Maybe SteemIt or Mastodon would work.

The character limit depends per instance. I'm on an instance with a 10.000 limit. But Mastodon is not for blogging.
Joining the fediverse doesn't mean you can't be banned (by hosting) or blocked (shut out). If you join a service's instance you can still be banned/blocked according to the whims/rules of the instances and mood of the admin(s).
Anyway, I did a "fediverse blog" search and tada: https://fediverse.blog/about Plume is the name of the 'platform/engine' : https://github.com/Plume-org/Plume for a DIY hosting.
use the following search parameters to narrow your results:
e.g. sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
advanced search: by author, sub...
