I call it reddit withdrawl syndrome. It's basically so censor happy that people have to test the waters by saying something people will be offended by, and get off on the chaos.it causes and the power they have.

Also, we have been conditioned to go cry and tattle to someone instead of ignoring stupid things, or even refuting such things with logic higher up on that pyramid of discussion.

I don't pay much attention to such comments, but there are a LOT of them who post the same crap over and over again. Basically some variation of "I hate group X." What kind of people devote all their time hating a group THAT much? I'm not even saying you're not entitled to dislike them; just talk about something ELSE every now and then.

Someone who has an axe to grind and seeks validation, I guess.

The current state of our highly polarized political climate seeks to create as much hostility and resentment as possible. The behavior that arises becomes an even tighter coiled up spring eager to be freed. Drama gets clicks and views, which translates to money. Reddit ultimately wants to chase that dollar, and we are being manipulated into helping them achieve that goal.
