Will you defend your opinion that race doesn't matter?

I find race quite arbitrary, what does the amount of pigment in a person's skin have to do with their value as a person? I'd compare it to the analogy of judging a fish by it's ability to climb a tree but it's more akin to judging a fish by its ability to do calculus. If you are someone that judges someone off their ethnicity then you are just applying your personal biases and beliefs onto an individual you have never met. I believe there can be some merit that ethnicity has correlation to culture as people who have Chinese strong Chinese features are more likely to be involved in Chinese culture but that is still an assumption. People of all race and skin tone reside all around the world, someone who is very fair skinned can be born an raised in Africa, someone who is very dark skinned can be born and raised in Japan. If someone who would be called African American in America was born and raised in Japan by Japanese parents would they not then be Japanese? We can control our words and actions but we cannot control all aspects of our apperance so to Jude someone, especially those who are extremely critical, disrespectful, and degrading to others, simply based off of their skin pigment is quite silly to me.

Race is not restricted to colour, and in your paradigm should whales and sharks and basses and salmons get all mixed together? They are all fish after all.

I'm sorry are we talking about humans or all mammals? You might notice some slight differences between a whale and a human. Nice double use of strawman and hasty generalization though.
