yeah, if 1. there's an identity that makes large amounts of people--people with real (literal) authority, like judges and prison wardens--bend to practically every whim even if you're an admitted serial rapist, and can get anyone who complains arrested instead, and 2. you can claim it just by making a few minor changes to appearance, logic says that people are going to take take advantage of it, and that its proponents are going to have to at least think of a defense when it happens; but that's "gatekeeping" to the ever-changing hivemind of suburban 20yos getting a useless degree, and thus not Being Kind (which costs nothing, remember!)

it reminds me of how the radfems themselves were toppled--for decades they wrote the laws and police procedures, the mandatory training sessions, colleges' literal handling of rape; nobody in their carefully-weeded female-only classes and departments blinked when they said wombxn reproduced by cloning before 2000 BC or that Phil Hartman must've had it coming or that rape allegations shouldn't be subjected to the retraumatizing abuse of a trial; then one day (~2014, before then I remember Tumblr being full of hateful little radfem shits) they said "even if they pretend to be women!" and were kicked out by the same enforcement system they'd built
