Trump's trial and conviction, on accusations no one can even explain or understand (who isn't an establishment figure we want nothing to do with), brings home a truth that I think many of us feel in our bones, which can be stated as

We are living in a simulation.

I don't mean scientifically, I mean politically and culturally.

You see, Hamas' October 7 operation has become a catalyst in the greatest unmasking event in modern history. It didn't only show us how Zionist the West is, it is increasingly showing us that the whole power structure in the West is an empty, meaningless simulation and that the power really resides somewhere else entirely.

Many of us have been feeling this, vaguely or explicitly, for a long long time. But now understandings are coming to fruition. If the behavior of the US, UK, or France looked strange yesterday, today we begin to grasp that the whole 'government' thing is a hoax: a sting operation, or a pyramid scheme.

If we had our doubts about whose interests this or that figure in power really serves, now we are closing in on the realization they are all just hired actors.

The whole thing - the elections, the courts, the media, the education system, the economic institutions - none of those actually serves its stated purpose, or is as advertised. Their main objective is not to fulfill any pragmatic objective, or solve any real problem: their only reason for existing is to fool us into believing they have any real-world (as in: the external layer of reality we think is the real thing) related considerations.

We are beginning to understand that power is not generated by popular consent, which means power has fabricated an entire field of pseudo-processes to basically bullshit us into cooperation in what is slavery, or subjugation, presented as democracy.

The only way out of this is out of this. No elections or media coverage will ever change this reality: those mechanisms cannot operate in a way that contradicts their hardware settings.

It is not that this side or that side failed: it is the whole system. And it is failing not because of bad policy or bad decision-making. It is failing because it was constructed to fool people, not to govern them properly.

We have never been able to influence how our countries work through voting, or appeals to courts. None of us, ever: show me whoever voted even one and doesn't feel jaded (the more you vote, the more jaded you become, unless you belong to an establishment-privileged group and you try to bullshit society into believing your privilege is the result of the free choice of the people).

Our only way out of this is creating new political structures, new media structures, new education structures, new everything. The old system is dead and dysfunctional as a certain president. We must divorce our hopes, intentions, and activism completely from it.

One day, I’ll be standing in an auditorium full of undergrads teaching them about Nazism and Zionism under the same module.

I’ll show them a documentary about May 26th 2024 - when Israel dropped several 2 thousand ton bombs on sleeping refugees in a tent, the students will lament on how the world could possibly remain silent if we had video footage from months of similar carnage.

We’ll sociologically analyze how global consent and complicity is manufactured through propaganda, and then students will be asked to write a 1000 word essay on the fake beheaded babies story.

And this is how history simply repeats itself, unless the cycle is broken by a few brave souls.

A major investigation reveals that since Palestine acceded to the ICC war crimes court in 2015:

Israel has been spying on the court continuously, and trying to hack its databases;
Israel has directly threatened ICC officials and their families. Various plots have included smearing and intimidating the previous chief prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, trying to 'recruit' her, and launching a sting operation against her husband;
Israel has designated several Palestinian legal and human rights groups as 'terrorist organisations' for assisting the ICC;
Israel has intercepted all calls made between the ICC and Palestinians in the occupied territories, following a ban on ICC investigators entering the territories to conduct research.

That not only explains why the ICC has been so incredibly slow in bringing any war crimes charges against Israeli leaders – it finally did so last week.

It also indicates that Israel's strikes on Gaza might not only be targeting Hamas fighters. Palestinian witnesses to Israeli war crimes may have been priority targets for execution too.

Testimony by one of the Israeli activists arrested yesterday in Jerusalem, while blocking the American consulate in protest of the US involvement in the genocide:

"As we were all sitting outside the US consulate, with the signs and chants, the main policeman came to assess the situation. As he approached us, face to face, I quietly said "don't touch me". "You would love for me to touch you, look how ugly you are" I immediately shouted, in front of the demonstrators and the photographers, his full name, his senior position and the exact sentence he told me. A policewoman yelled at me, "Shut up, you idiot, be quiet!". When we arrived at the Jerusalem Center Police Station, a policeman and a policewoman took me out of the cop car. They held me and I walked with them, but the policeman tripped me with his leg. I fell down and the policewoman shouted, "Don't play games, do you want me to beat you?" while she gives me a kick. We reached the stairs while the policeman was still holding me. He shook me again and again and said "In a second I'm rolling you down the stairs", while the policewoman shouted "stinking leftist", "whore" and "why are you here while our female soldiers are being raped in Gaza". The last sentence was repeated as a rhetorical tool by almost every policeman at one point or another during the arrest. Especially in the moments when I was alone with them, for example on the way to photographing and taking fingerprints, or to the interrogation: "I wish they would replace you with the female soldiers who are being raped now in Gaza."

During the hours we spent in the holding cell, we wondered why the police were telling us to go all the way to Gaza in order to get raped? During our stay there they did two searches on each of us, and in my second search there were no less than three policewomen present. Between the bars we asked each other - in the eyes of the cops, when the attacker is Jewish, does that mean it is consensual? Or perhaps I even enjoy it?"

Interestingly, if you read the ICC statement, the crimes that Israel is found to be committing fit perfectly with the legal definition of genocide.

Here's what the ICC says: "Notwithstanding any military goals they may have, the means Israel chose to achieve them in Gaza – namely, intentionally causing death, starvation, great suffering, and serious injury to body or health of the civilian population – are criminal."

They also write that "Israel has intentionally and systematically deprived the civilian population in all parts of Gaza of objects indispensable to human survival."

Here's the legal definition of genocide from the Genocide Convention (https://un.org/en/genocideprevention/documents/atrocity-crimes/Doc.1_Convention):

"Genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

The ICC, by saying that Israel is "intentionally causing death, starvation, great suffering, and serious injury to body or health of the civilian population" as well as writing that Israel has "intentionally and systematically deprived the civilian population in all parts of Gaza of objects indispensable to human survival", implies that first of all, intent is there (notice the "intentionally") and secondly that the points a, b and c of the definition are met. Bear in mind that you only need to meet one point for it to be considered genocide as it's "any of the following acts".

Inescapable conclusion: it absolutely is a genocide.

You've got to hand it to the Friends of the Rules Based International Order. Having rubbished the #ICJ as a "foreign court" (despite being members of it) today in the House they slaughtered the #ICC as "unhelpful" "wrong" and covered in the "stench" of "moral equivalence" as between the Palestinian resistance and "democratic" #Israel The Court has "no jurisdiction" you see, because Israel doesn't recognise it. Yet they supported the same Court's action against #Russia even though they don't recognise it either! Their rules based order is a farce, lipstick on the pig of brute force, double standards and vomit-inducing levels of hypocrisy. #Gaza has been the graveyard of many.
